Important Note about our battery trays for the Jeep JL & JT, and the Toyota 4Runner & Tundra
When we first introduced our dual battery kits for the JL, JT, 4Runner & Tundra in 2018, they were shaped to accommodate the Odyssey Group 25 battery, which is wider at the top than at the bottom.
We soon discovered that many Group 25 batteries—including brands like Full Throttle—have a uniform width from top to bottom. Because our tray had been designed to match Odyssey’s tapered shape, these alternative batteries wouldn’t fit. Recognizing our customers’ desire for various battery options, we updated the tray in 2020 to feature straight sides so it can accommodate any Group 25 battery.
If you bought your dual battery kit before October 1, 2020, your tray (with tapered sides shown below) is only compatible with the Odyssey Performance Series Group 25 battery.
If your kit was purchased after October 1, 2020, your tray (with straight sides shown below) is compatible with any other brand of Group 25 battery.
The photos above show the Jeep JL / JT tray, but the same design applies to the 4Runner / Tundra trays as well.
If you have one of our original trays and you would like to have the flexibility of using any brand of battery in the future, you may purchase a new tray at a discounted price. This discount is available only to current customers who purchased prior to October 1, 2020.
