AGM vs. Traditional Lead Acid Batteries

High quality AGM batteries like Odyssey and Full River are designed to be drained down and recharged over 400 times. That's a lot!
Your stock lead acid battery is not designed to be drained down repeatedly. Running your accessories from a lead acid battery will quickly reduce its life span.
AGM batteries can be stored without recharging for up to 2 years or until they reach 12.0v.
Lead Acid batteries are not designed to sit unused for extended periods of time - only 6-12 weeks before needing a recharge.
AGM batteries will slowly lose their maximum capacity over time. When it's time to replace them you'll notice they don't seem to hold a charge as long as they did before, giving you a warning sign.
Lead Acid batteries can fail immediately, leaving you stranded. One minute you're running errands all over town, and suddenly you can't start the engine.
AGM batteries are tough! That's what you need for off roading or overlanding. They can take a beating on rough roads.
Lead Acid batteries can more easily be damaged internally from vibration, causing an instant failure.
AGM batteries can be mounted on any side in any position except upside down. The case is completely sealed so there's no liquid acid inside, so no escaping gases and no dangerous acid spills.
Lead Acid batteries have liquid acid which can spill out if dropped, turned over, or damaged. They also require maintenance by topping off with distilled water - who has time for that?

Do you ship batteries overseas?
Unfortunately no, we do not offer shipping outside the 48 states for batteries for a few reasons. First, it's expensive! You'll save a ton of money by sourcing batteries in your home country. Aside from that, we've had problems in the past with customs clearance, damage, and delays. It's just tough to ship a battery around the world, and it's not worth the risk. If you just gotta do it, we recommend shipping to a freight forwarding service, just be aware we are not responsible for any damage!
How long will it take to get my orders?
It depends on where you are. Most orders placed by 3pm Central for in-stock products ship the same day from our office in Olive Branch, MS, just outside of Memphis, TN. Tracking details will be provided to you via email asap!
